The founder

I started twigged out of both personal urgency and professional insight.
As The Toolkit Therapist and parent to a neurodivergent child, I experienced first hand the overwhelm and isolation families often face after a diagnosis.
Frustrated by the lack of practical, empathetic support, I set out to create what I couldn’t find: simple, evidence-based tools that make everyday life easier.

The professional

Gee is naturally gifted at what she does . She has an incredible ability to translate the complex into bite-sized nuggets of advice for parents who are navigating the choppy waters of anxiety/ OCD/ ASD/ ADHD/ behavioral issues and more. She offers easy to understand theories and explanations behind children’s behaviour as well as giving practical tools and tips based on their individual needs. As a family practice physician practicing for 20 years I strongly recommend Gee’s services to any and all parents who are struggling to understand and support their children and their behavioural needs (which is most if not all of us!). Gee just gets it and her approach means we can get it too.

More about twigged

What is twigged?

twigged is a purpose-led neurodiversity support brand that transforms how families understand and manage ADHD and related conditions. twigged offers intuitive, evidence-based toolkits that break down complex psychological theory into everyday strategies, helping children and parents thrive together.

What is twigged’s mission?

To revolutionise how childhood neurodiversity is supported, making evidence-based tools accessible, affordable, and empowering for every family. twigged promotes inclusivity, optimism, and practical growth, without ever pathologising difference.

What are twigged’s values?

twigged’s brand values include:
  • Empathy & compassion: always person-first, always judgement-free
  • Celebrating uniqueness: every neurodivergent journey is different
  • Practical empowerment: teaching skills over punishing behaviours
  • Progress over perfection: small steps, sustainable change
  • Connection & community: you’re not alone - we build bridges

Is twigged a business or a not-for-profit?

twigged is a for-good, mission-driven business—structured to deliver affordable impact at scale. Its revenue model ensures business sustainability while remaining accessible to families who need support most.

What is the long-term vision for twigged?

twigged aims to become a “neurodiversity hub": a go-to space for inclusive, affordable digital learning and support. Beyond ADHD, the platform will include toolkits for autism, anxiety, executive function, sleep and more. It will serve families, clinicians and educators alike.

Who founded twigged?

twigged was founded by Gee Eltringham, a Bristol-based psychotherapist, parent, and neurodiversity advocate. Gee developed the "Toolkit" approach after facing first-hand the lack of practical support available when her daughter showed signs of early neurodivergence.

Why did Gee create twigged?

As a mum, Gee saw how traditional ADHD support systems often leave families confused and overwhelmed. As a therapist, she knew there was a better way. twigged is the result of her personal and professional journey to provide practical, affirming support that helps children and their families build confidence, not shame.

What is Gee’s background?

Gee holds:
  • An Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Exeter
  • A Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Chrysalis

She’s an experienced practitioner working with children and young people, specialising in ADHD, autism, and anxiety. Her clinical work is rooted in the belief that all kids do well if they can - they just need the right tools.

What does “Toolkit Therapist” mean?

It’s Gee’s approach to therapy and education: giving families practical, usable tools to work through challenges, instead of relying on abstract advice. twigged’s toolkits are grounded in psychology but built for real life—offering strategies you can actually use at home, school, or anywhere in between.
